Matt Nathanson in Rhode Island with Lifehouse

We did a co-headlining show at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island with LifeHouse. I always forget that Matt is so big in the North East that a University would booked us us on a co-headlining show with a band that has several huge singles. I guess it goes to show how a grass roots following can have a similar impact as a shit load of radio airplay. The show went as well as can be expected considering it was in a gymnasium and we were using rented back line gear. I twisted up my knee after the third song, so I gimped around on stage the best that I could. We got to see some of our favorite fans, which is nice since we probably won’t do a full tour until the fall at the earliest. Matt wants (needs) to finish tweaking lyrics for the new album which is basically ready to go as far as the band is concerned, so that is a priority this summer. I know we have some fly-out gigs in June like the Ever-fine festival in Cleveland and a KFOG radio show in San Jose.

LifeHouse are a bunch of great guys and they write some incredible pop songs. I think they are cursed with being the guys that have songs that everyone has heard, but no one can name the band that does them. Or maybe that’s just me.
