Matt played a small sold out solo show a couple of days before the MSG show. Aaron, Lyle and myself left our killer dinner a little early to go sit in with Matt on a couple of songs since there was some backline (amps, drums) at the club. It was our first time playing out with Lyle Molzan on drums. I think he did a great job.

I’m super psyched to get started this batch of songs since Jason McGerr from Death Cab for Cutie will be the drummer on the session. His beats are always so creative and I know he will bring a lot to Matt’s songs.
